Jakob Schillinger is a curator and art historian. He was the dean of the School for Worldly Companions at dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel and co-curator of the survey exhibition based in Berlin. He has written about art and media technology for journals including October, Texte zur Kunst, Artforum, and May, and contributed an essay on Martin Kippenberger’s service economy to the catalogue of a retrospective exhibition at Kunsthalle Bonn. He is a PhD candidate in art history at Princeton University.
