Glenn Gould Radio Broadcast

Sep 27, 2008

Zac Dempster and John Skoog present: In the absence of Glenn Gould a rebroadcast of Glenn Gould’s radio oeuvre:

If President Truman did, in fact, read that poem, he may have accepted it as a glowing testimonial to his statesmanship, and if so, he was obviously able to convince himself that behind its seemingly elusive rhetoric, a deliberate creative intelligence was, however deviously, at work.

Two students from Frankfurt’s Städelschule, Zac Dempster and John Skoog, present an ongoing broadcast in the space and on the airwaves surrounding Ludlow Street. The installation pays tribute to the great Canadian pianist Glenn Gould.
