In conjunction with the current exhibition The Making of the Chinese New Working Class by the Culture and Art Museum of Migrant Workers Beijing, MINI/Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residencies Ludlow 38 is pleased to announce The Making of the Chinese New Working Class: Issues in Contemporary Labor, a discussion session organized in collaboration with the Public School New York and New York-based artist Marty Kirchner.
This event will take the form of an open discussion group and serve as an opportunity to discuss, in a less formal setting, the topics explored in previous sessions of the Public School class with the same title. A selection of readings from the class list will be decided in advance. Suggestions are welcome.
